And so it begins…again…I am seeing my inner signs of craziness beginning, whinging Geelong, Port Koch, and Melbourne ALL had a win, which is really nothing to do with me, but those three make me psychotic. Im not into making excuses for us per se, I just feel it is a genuine disadvantage for all sides throughout the season who will be flying up on game day. That process is fatiguing.

They do it on consecutive days in basketball all the time.
Ultimately, the difference between winners and losers is intent/attitude. Essendon bring the passion, desire to win and they’ll do the job. Essendon have struggled to maintain the rage over the years. Anyone’s guess what will happen today? One thing that makes me nervous is how the Suns spanked the Eagles and Blues almost overrun the Dees.

I disagree as this is one elite sporting team playing another. One of the elite teams is at a significant disadvantage as they will not be able to rest comfortably at any time for 10 hours prior to a sporting contest that already extracts 100% of their energy reserves.
This is terrible preparation and probably outside our control due to covid restrictions.

Big chance today to go 2-0 and possibly be 2nd or 3rd on the table. We win this with Melbourne and Carlton to come, who both looked diabolical at times yesterday. We can really put ourselves in a great position for this season. Today is the first step of that. MUST get this done!

We also wont have to go to a WA hub if it eventuates because we’ve already played Freo. Things are falling our way a little. We need to take advantage.
I’m not convinced playing Freo in Melbourne has anything to do with the Hub. It will be a commercial decision.
I suspect we will be one of the teams due to our WA supporter base.
I’m sure there will be incentives for sides as well which I’m sure we will be all over.
The AFL said they wont send teams that have played a WA side because we can only play sides once and it wouldn’t be efficient. They only want to send sides that haven’t played them because it will give more flexibility with the fixture later in the year.
