The monfries tackle...wtf

Forget holding the ball changing week to week, it changes game to game. I'll watch any game of footy and the difference between a Saturday arvo and Sunday arvo is astounding. That's the biggest problem. There shouldn't be an open interpretation of what a rule is. It should be clear cut. Go back 2-3 years. If you have prior, you're gone. Being swung 360 degrees is prior. Free kick. If you get sat on by 389587345 players, blow the ■■■■■■ whistle after a few seconds and ball it up. Don't wait 5-10 seconds and slow the play down.

On the Monfries one, well I can't blame the umpire really. I was fuming at the time but in that sort of game you're damned it you do and damned if don't and it goes back to what I said. With no clear cut interpretation, there's going to be errors and in that situation. On the same note, if it was paid and Mitchell was running into an open goal and it got called back, all hell would break lose the opposite side. You can't win.

On the Monfries one, well I can't blame the umpire really.

If he couldn‘t see what happened, play on might be the correct decision. But as Fog noted earlier, he indicated he saw the ball knocked free. Not much way to defend that.

Umpire boss says it was a legal disposals....

Umpire boss says it was a legal disposals…[/quote]

Srs?

Did he kick it?

Did he handball it?

Er, no, he said it was wrong but the ump will not be punished.

Thats what you get for checking 3aw.

I bet Campbell wouldn’t have said that if Port had got up
