Yes I agree. It is a proper process and there is no one right coach to pick or a saviour to save us but they will make a solid decision. That I am confident of. I hope they are brave enough to go with a non Essendon person.

Davis appears less likely to win the role, with Twomey leaning more towards McVeigh/Hird and Graham. Twomey would be surprised if there isn’t an announcement by Thursday next week.

If Murray Davis is a bombers supporter and happy to be an assistant to whoever the head coach is, I would be inclined to bring him in, and hopefully he can do something about improving our indigenous trading and drafting given his NT links. In addition to his coaching.

Is it possible we will payout our new senior coach before he’s hired? I’d say it’s likely but I haven’t seen an announcement we’ve extended his yet to be signed contract first.

I was pertty keen on Hird initially, sort of still am but now I dont really care , I think any of them Hird included will be OK, they all have an element of unknown , so nobody is more rock solid or guaranteed than each other imo. Like this horrible season I just want it to be over

There seemed to be some leaks early on but nothing in the last few weeks so the club has either sniffed out the culprit or everything is happening behind very locked doors. Which is good except that I really, really want to know what is happening.
