The players joining Big Sammy Draper vs the Bears (2020, round 9)

We might have something here. But I’m concerned we might be a little too tall.
Anyway else think that?

It’s bizarre that I agree with all our ‘ins’ this round. I feel rather dirty.

Yeah, I’m worried about being too top heavy… just those two… Stewart and Draper… look too top heavy with those do’s…

I like this team. I have a good feeling about tomorrow night.

Which means we’ll lose.

A game for the coaches to be on the ball. If Draper or TBell not performing on the forward line, get them off. If Stewart struggles, get him off. Flexible game plan needed. Rotate them around. Throw Francis forward if needed. Just don’t do nothing if it is not working.

Wooow 10 coaches votes again farkin basket case north. Let’s see what he does tomorrow night against a farkin decent side!!

When you say get them off, do you mean leave all
3 on the bench for half a game so we only have 1 rotation on the bench?

Just don’t do nothing if it is not working.

Now now, we all know there is no chance of this.

Obviously one in the ruck. With TBell struggling to see out a game, Draper debuting, Stewart returning I reckon we have to be flexible in our forward set up and game plan. We might have to go from tall to small in our forward line. Flexibility is important.

shock horror, surprise most of blitz if they agree with something, they don’t complain, I know it goes against everything the happy clappers tell us, that those miserable unhappy ■■■■■ complain about everything, no matter what, but turns out, that’s just a lie to suit their narrative.

(sarcasm and condescension not aimed at you Ivan  )

Need to beat them in the middle a lot of their scoring starts from there do this and we win

Just worried about the backline. Redman this whole season has looked really scratchy, opposing Lincoln McCarthy seems a scary matchup. Gleeson might have to patrol Rayner too which I’m not a fan of.

I like that it’s the best team we can put on the park this week, that a massive chunk of this side have played plenty of VFL together, and that the mid to long therm future of our club will be on show.
We have a lot to play for: Draper’s first game, Stewart’s first game back from LTI, Cutler vs his old club, Sheil back from suspension.
Our fwd line will be unpredictable and I think our mids will chip in with a few goals too. Don’t forget Walla got off the leash last time too.
Brisbane have the right be favourites but if we get off to a good start and get our confidence up then it won’t matter whose higher on the ladder, and being a neutral venue should help a bit (bears aren’t so great away from the Gabba).
Hopefully the bears go in overconfident, I reckon this could be the start of a new era for us.

I thought Redman was decent in the 2nd half against the Crows hopefully it’s a sign of him getting back to his best

I feel that there is an assumption that Stewart comes in for McKernan. I don’t think that’s correct. I’d say Stewart comes in for Laverde.

Then Draper comes in for McKernan.
Obviously the big fella is playing his first game, so who knows what will happen. But I don’t think he can be any worse than McKernan has been so far this season. He will definitely be a better Ruck option, that’s for sure.

IMO pressure is on Townsend to lead the forwards tomorrow night. We have been a lot better with not getting too high up the ground this season… it’s up to Townsend to pull Stewart and Draper to forward 50 if they wonder up the ground too much. We need at least one tall option upforward.

it’s just great though if you set the team out with some talls now.

And with the mullets back can’t help but dream that Daniher isn’t far away from resuming too.

Buddy Has made it to their hub now.

Yes it was so easy in that game that everyone got at least 10 coaches votes, right?

Very happy with the changes except for phillips should be in for bellchambers.

It’s almost worth a shot sending Riddley forward to intercept our own kicks
