I am off to Europe for work, but as a special treat, I am driving a Ferrari on the Imola F1 circuit, at significant expense I might add.

I was so excited when I booked and paid, that I put a typo in my email address. It’s just a combination of first and second name, but missed a ā€œ . ā€œ

I have an uncommon first name, and what I would consider a rare surname. There’s 3 people on LinkedIn with the same combination, including me.

I couldn’t change the login details, I couldn’t get a response from the company in Italy.

Then randomly I got a text from an unknown Australian phone number asking if I’d just booked a test drive in Italy. The person, with the exact same name, also living in Australia was kind enough to forward the confirmation details over. So their email address is the same, just minus the ā€œ . ā€œ

Thank fk they are also a decent person.

Anyway, I just thought it was a nice thing to do. And I’ll be sure to send them a pic of me tearing up the circuit.

This guys jacket. For when you want to work on construction in the morning, but go hunting in the afternoon.

The shoes match to one half of the jacket.

Oh man, can you imagine if he had matching (to the jacket) shoes?

Here’s me wearing a stereotypical boring blue suit, when I could be flaring it up like this guy.

He is definitely not from Northcote {north coat} .You should travel more.

Axing of the Project.
Trouble is, of course, that something even worse wil probably replace it.

And Q&A

Is that deal still on?

When I lived in Adelaide a very long time ago, we bought this very nice house south of Adelaide. Newish house, and the electricity bills and bill waters were very low. We put in a swimming pool. And the water meter was in the way, so got in a plumber to move it. He found that while some water went through the meter, most was bypassed around it. He was a very honest sort of bloke so he would not move the meter and continue with a bypass so I had to agree.

Got me thinking about the electricity supply, so I got the sparky who worked in the company I managed to take a look, and sure enough, all power except for some lights, were wired around the meter.

Just wanna…appreciate this…

ā€œI’m like a R-A-P-E-R/ Got so many S-As (S-As), S-As/ Wait, he didn’t just spell the word, ā€˜Rapper’ and leave out a P, did he?ā€.

That was…kinda bold.
Leaving aside how clever the wordplay is, which it obviously also is.

My amateur career as a driving instructor is now, seemingly, (thankfully ) over. 3 Kids, 360+ hours in the passenger seat. Just got a phone call that the Youngest just got his (manual ) license.

I’m gonna be slightly stressed for the first few months picturing him out and about on his own, but we are now clear.

Though I do have a niece that may have been hinting the other day that her parents are a bit too wound up to take her out. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Ducted heating ā– ā– ā– ā–  itself.

Bit of a google, reading a few forums, watched some videos.

Opened the system up to clean 2 combustion sensors. Works like new!

Probably saved me $500+ in call out fees and ā€˜parts’.

one of my friends is helping a bookshop move this afternoon in Bourke St. They’re only going a couple of hundred metres, and a heap of volunteers have formed a human chain and are passing the books along, rather than them having to pack them all up, move them, and unpack them. Amazing effort!! Apparently it will be on the news tonight
