I’m off on holidays soon and will fly on Christmas day. So it’s nice that all the shops are reminding me how many sleeps till I leave.

I just reverse seared aged scotch fillet and topped it with perfectly ripe avocado and a luxurious garlic prawn sauce.
You know those meals where every step you undertake is perfect and every bite is an absolute, moaning, thigh slapping, fork throwing pleasure?
This was one of them.

I thought that this was supposed to be the positive thread, not the What annoys me thread? I guess lining a river bank with willows might be nice somewhere in the world but not in Aus. Do you know how much effort has gone into and still goes into removing these bloody things here?
They might make nice cricket bats but we don’t need them on our rivers.

I’ve struggled to get Heff12 to read at home all year. I’ve heard every excuse. I told him it would impact his studies.
He graduated primary school today. Won the English award for the year. Apparently he’s reading year 9 books at school. He rolled his eyes at me when he was presented with his award.
