The length of pop songs - as with many things - was down to technology and economics, as much as anything - ie. ie the vinyl single. So the pop song was defining to the modern attention span, as much as the other way around.
No to Lanuca Coil. I didn’t hate it, but the vocal histrionics undermined it.
