There’s a point where highly polished moves through over polished and out to the other side. Quincy Jones in the early to mid 80s pushed polish as far as it ever went (before electronica, keyboards & drum machines took over top 40 music, prior to rap & grunge throwing it back the other way, then the arse falling out of the music industry 10 years ago)
