They were very Australian and a lot of their songs were protest songs.
I remember one of their songs spoke about us selling the whole country to the mining companies and then we would all have enough money to just go and live in Bali (this was back in the early/mid 80s when Bali was still worth visiting)

Feargal was the lead singer of the Undertones who actually have some great catchy pop punk stuff. Not a fan of his solo stuff though.
