Not really my scene @hambo but you get a double sympathy vote, one for the work drying up, the other for trying to play a set where the degree of interest from the regular punters appears to be at the watching paint dry level. That bloody COVID19 has a lot to answer for.
Thanks LB. I’m doing my best to entertain the various punters at a time many are worried and distracted. I’m lucky that I’ll be fine without work and it’s a pleasure to be able to do the DJ role while others are possibly too busy to take it on.
I’m really conflicted on this one. It’s a song that I know very well, but that I probably stopped enjoying outright many moons ago. I like the idea of what bassnectar have attempted, I think it’s a song that lends itself to an interesting electro treatment, but I think left too much intact. I’m gonna give it a pass, but it’s a strained yes.
Not sure what’s going on here… Somebody’s taken somebody else’s live song and overdubbed it with a few electronic effects? Anyway I listened to it twice and was uplifted
by that communal choral chorus. Yes.
FYI, Jane Gazzo started a Facebook group called Sound As Ever which invites people to post about 90s Aussie indie bands. It’s got about 10,000 members already and is an awesome trip down memory lane if you were a gig goer at the time.
@Lifetime_ban…noticing your Richard Clapton avatar, I thought you might be interested that I just finished reading his autobiography.
It was a quite enjoyable read.
It’s called “The Best Years Of Our Lives”
