Cheers for that! At the very least it was an interesting track. Veered dangerously close to joke material with its ridiculous refrain peppered throughout, but then it would go back to being energetic and interesting again. Familiar sounding, and yet I’d not ever heard it (or them). It reminded me a bit of The Radiators.

you should have a listen to d minor and the dischords

4 farking votes for The Cure

You lot either need to be shot from the cannon or strapped to a chair and be forcibly made to listen to non stop Rick Ashley for seven straight days.

Given we’ve just come out of 80’s round, the least you can do is show the great man some respect…

Dudes were throwing votes at Midnight Oil’s 37th best song of the 80s. WTF.

The cure was the most boringly predictable pick ever.

If that…

I refused to vote for Midnight Oil.

No logical reason. Just refused to.

Would have been better off playing Miley’s old man.

It’s just a farking great song which I’ve always thought was underrated.

but yeah, i played it pretty safe. 80s isn’t really my strong suit though so i stuck with what i know.

The band, unfortunately yes. The song choice was good though.

i thought it was crap so i guess that makes us even.

Jez loves Rancid and Midnight Oil, but is angry that songs from those bands got plenty of votes.

Oh DJ King.

Nicely done. When I saw it, I thought well that ain’t getting many votes.

And this is why I never make a final.

Is there an unwritten rule here that you have to go as obscure and high risk as possible?
