The reigning DJ King (Mk XII) is nobody 'coz it's Blonde DJ Time....the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90, 00s, 10s Extravaganza (Part 1)

Frosty on the ropes here, with @ivan circling for the next spin.

This thread ain’t what it use to be. DJs would get burnt up in 5 minutes

We ran out of songs a few years back.

That was…strange…weird…disjointed…(I stopped listening to a Budgie album to listen to this)

Have a No

Holds breath…

It could still be a week until the next vote comes, so don’t hold breath!

Not a good idea @ivan

It could be minutes, hours, even days before the next vote…and that could be a yes.

Patience is the key in the game now

Not so much ran out of sings as much as ran out of sob stories.

I got way more sob stories left than i do song ideas.

I think the desire to have a turn died first.

When everyone was hanging to kick you out cos they wanted a spin (or were salty cos they’d just had one and got booted fast), yet they were in a bind cos you were putting up a few almighty tunes, that was peak awesome.

I still like having a go. Always finding new things. Bands that I have posted previously have put out several new albums in the last few years

A begrudged yes was always the most satisfying.

Perhaps there was a tune under all that production nonsense.
Perhaps the lass can sing, but I can’t tell under all that post-production.
Nothing wrong with a lush, well filled-out sound but that was just way, way, WAY too much.

I think every single plugin that comes standard with Logic Pro (and several that don’t) may have been employed on the vocals alone.

Jez and PP2 pretty nicely summed things up above ^^^

Sorry @frosty… it’s a NO from me. You can finally get in the booth @ivan

BTW, nothing at all wrong with begrudging begrudged (edited for Peos’ benefit…) yesses - my sets have always been littered with them!

Also, I think when ‘The Crown’ became essentially unachievable, it changed things.

Being the KoK (and more importantly, Rain not being it) was a solid incentive for a while there, especially when a set of like 10-11 got you there.

Your begrudged yes for three separate Butterfingers tracks, is still one of my fondest DJ King memories.
