Certainly 2nd in my opinion. Only due to humans have made music for 100s of thousands of years. Its in our dna. Music can bring out autonomous physical response from humans (toe tapping). It runs deeper than film.
If it’s designed to be feature of a song (e.g. Daft Punk, Cher) that’s one thing. If it’s used to correct ■■■■ vocals to the point where it’s noticeable (e.g. Midnight Oil’s recent material, everything Weezer has released for the last 15 years), it’s too much…
I mean, auto tune is a very prevalent thing in recorded music. I have way more problems with pop musicians using it live. To biggest culprits off the top of my being RCHP and Blink 182 prior to Matt Skiba.
