A new iMac. Though I could do 4-track stuff on the sampler if it’s still working. Plus, I completely forget how to use the gear, so once I hook everything up I’ll need to watch tutorials and stuff to get up to speed again.

So managed to miss the entire reveal but sat back with a beer and read through the 250+ posts and it was gold. Fair bit of expected salt from the losers who had to vote for us elite in the top 11.
Anyway - another almost finish with a 3rd in my inaugural Blonde DJ to go with my 2nd in FLR - always the ■■■■■■■ bridesmaid. I suppose congratulations are in store for @chewy_boy on the victory - personally I thought mine was the better song but as we all know from ‘99 - even turds can have their time in the sun.
Was going to play a number of tracks in the final but every track was either 5 secs too short or a previous DJ with excellent taste had spun the tune already. Modafinil Blues by Matthew Dear was my first choice except @JohnRain had already played it when he came, conquered and ■■■■■■ off into oblivion.
In the end I went with Colors - hoping voters would feel guilty and racist if they didn’t vote for it but turns out they were and didn’t care. Special mention to @Klawdy for sucking me into a premature reveal and yes it was a repeat - so thanks for reminding everybody and I can’t help but think it did cost me the title in the end despite repeats being allowed.
@swoodley - thanks for a truly massive effort in running the comp - felt like the saga at times with the highs and lows and the time it took to get through it as well.
Hope that’s enough salt!
