I’m guessing there aren’t too many cheap flights back to Melbourne at the moment?
4-2
That was pretty pox, no
Ooh, a cameo no from KJ.
I can’t keep up with the revival of this thread during the day, but surely, SURELY I haven’t been resigned to cameo status, have I?!
Technically, maybe.
But not in my heart, KJ. In there, you’re always a regular.
Maybe you could put that girl in touch with @mrjez?
Hahaha.
How fussy are you Jez?
Cameo! yeah baby ![]()
Given the in jokes of this thread, you’d want to be going with ‘featuring’ rather than cameo.
Rather fussy, Peos.
Your story reminded me of when I was in the States. My accom the whole trip was friends of friends’ couches, and someone in NY said that a girl in Chicago would put me up if I wanted to travel there.
When I got there…. she was… a very nice person. I’m shy and picky by nature, and it wasn’t going to happen in that way. If it got to that. But she was a nice person.
I was gonna try and travel to see some shows and she wanted to come, so we rented a car. We had to find a motel in Indiana or Kentucky or somewhere so we stopped at a place. At the check-in desk it was one of those classic moments…
“So what kind of room would you like?”
Girl: “I guess a double…”
Me: “Twin! Twin room, please. Two beds. Twin.”
She was really sour the next day on the drive back to Chicago.
Sounds like it’s time you stepped out of your comfort zone ![]()
I mean, it’s still the same room.
If she had any game at all…
I had plenty of chances to get my numbers up back in the day, but was proud of my standards. Mostly.
I’ve got a story I’ll get to someday if I haven’t told it before. It has Millencolin as characters in it.
Well, if this song gets through, I know my next track.
We’ve all got at least one story…(that should probably never be spoken of again)
Yeah, this was my approach too. I had unrealistically high standards that I wouldn’t budge from.
Problem was, I myself was a 5/10 max - on a good day, in a suit - so I had to make a lot of concessions when it came to things like ‘personality’ or ‘mental stability.’
Do tell us more about these “concessions” you had to make
With me, it was more a matter of making the wrong decisions:
Keeping my hair long when the trend had changed
Having a mustache for most of my 20s
Always chasing the 9-10s when I had a much better chance with the 6-8s
