The Reigning Dj King (Mk XIII) is @nobody...it's Blonde DJ Time again with @mrjez being at his divisive best (Part 1)

Maybe I played it?

Seriously though…
Listenable. Yes.
Timely. Yes.
Classic. Yes.
Wordplay. Yes.

What the hell do you guys want?
Oh, but we’ll kneel before Radio Birdman and Know Your Product…

Because somehow it’s…less punk to be punk in the 00’s?

No doubt it’s a good song from a great album, but live albums just rarely excite me, especially modern ones, which are airbrushed to hell and back.

A live concert has to be experienced in person. Where you feel your rib-cage rattling around with each bass note, where you feel the crush of the crowd, where you inhale second-hand pot smoke (in the case of Violent Femmes and Tool concerts I’ve been to), where you come home and your T-shirt is covered with dirty bootprints (a TISM concert), where you slipped a bouncer $20 to let you in through a side door (Hunters & Collectors), where you join the band in a massive conga line that goes out of the venue onto the street and back in through the side-stage door (They Might Be Giants), where you get handed a microphone from the stage and your voice doesn’t come out (actually no, that wasn’t me…)

It’s an immersive, fully 3-dimensional experience, and a version of it doctored and tarted-up after the fact rarely excites me.

Just me though…

Anyway. Moving on.

■■■■■■ my song doesn’t even have a video on YouTube anymore.

Perhaps I need to stick to the top 10,000 songs of the decade

So Placebo was better than live Green Day is what you’re saying?

Ouch.

Don’t get me wrong…I like Placebo.
Not sure posting their 9th best track was the greatest of ideas…

I like Placebo too…I was referencing Bakes, not you (his lengthy diatribe about airbrushed modern live albums)
