The Reigning Dj King (Mk XIV) is currently resting whilst Blonde DJ takes Centre Stage

I’ll be late getting back to this. Sorry.

Work is kind of busy.

Bloody hell THT! Get your ■■■■ together.

Oh btw, I’m working also. Votes will be submitted later on. Plus I can’t just copy @Casio’s votes again like I did in one of the earlier rounds. (I did swtich the 4 and 5 votes around) Damn blind voting.

Well done finalists a few stellar songs I loved hearing - moreso from any other round. Quite enjoyed the format for a final. Some missed on votes with a second song I couldn’t enjoy - ha a couple missed cause they put up two!
Good luck all

Have voted. Hated it. So much “one half decent song / one half crp song”. Ended up with a whole bunch of “meh” combos (or worse).

Zero songs that I listened to and thought “add to playlist”. And a couple that when I listened to and thought, “wait, what did they just say?

Oh well, you all did better than me, so well done.

The odds of finding 5 combos I like out of 11 choices were low already, but… Man, a lot of these are really poor. If I do well it’ll mostly be through the faults of others, not my own skills.

Agree with above.
Usually you get a feel for the top vote getters.
This round i got nothing.

Votes submitted. Terribly uninspiring all around.
Votes given as mean score of the two songs.
The best 60’s song was accompanied by the worst 10’s song and only just scraped a vote.
The best 10’s song was accompanied by the worst 60’s song and missed out.
The best matched pair only scored moderate votes because both songs were just so-so.
Fabulous job again Swoods… you’ve done good!

yep

almost

And in both cases the “best” was “just OK”…

Agreed.

Were you happy with your submissions, Baker?

The 60’s one… yes (though I should’ve gone with my original one).
The 10’s one… not in the least.

I started with a 10s I liked, then tried to find a 60s to compliment it, which became hard.

I found a combo that when played at the same time actually sounds good!

Not sure if this happens to anyone else - but when we do these BDJs and I’m going through the tracks one by one, sometimes, all of the above tracks start playing at once so that I need to go and pause them all individually (last night I realised that just refreshing the page solved this). Anyway - some interesting effects to be had.

To be fair, there are some good songs in here that reveal themselves on a second listen at a different time of day. Some stuff got even worse though.

I think I see a strong chance for winner, and gave it 5, no idea who would’ve spun it though.

I’m not even a little bit nervous. I knew I had no chance as soon as I saw the theme.

Then I was further convinced when I saw my selections.

Then it was cemented when i saw all the others.

FWIW I don’t think the round is that bad. We’ve had worse finals.

Yes that always happened to me, but this time around I was able to play the next track without the previous starting again, didn’t change any settings.
I know what you mean about interesting effects, I would sometimes be like WTF is this then realise I have 3 tracks playing at once.

I think the sets are overall good under the theme. I’m generally opposite to people that share Wims views, so to listen to probably 20 out of 24 songs I wasn’t familiar with kept me happy. Especially the 60’s a lot of surprises in that group.

Although I do think alot of the DJ’s had similar thoughts so the sets are all abit samey whereas they could have been points of difference in another comp. Lots I could give votes to be struggle to identify the 5 or 4 vote standout.
