Yes.

Yes…7-2

Where’s the ■■■■■■■ song

Oh good… I was psyching myself up to wade through a whole bunch of posts of you lot jibber-jabbering to work out the current score…

So many things amuse me about this clip…
The lead singer’s brushed-forward combover forlornly trying to cover the inevitable.
The bass player’s power stance, as he throws shapes like he’s playing the biggest gig on earth.
The drummer doing his best Bun E Carlos impression.
The lead guitarist sucking on a dart which he casually flicks to the floor as hegoes into the solo.
The bloke sitting in the chair doing precisely fark all…

I like the jangliness of the song too… nice guitarwork all round.

It was 68 posts, that deserves a vote in itself.

Cool, home 4 beers in, comfy chair headphones

I remember playing The Smithereens and them totally getting bagged for dorkiness. Great songwriters. It’s a yes

That was really good, first playing I thought immediately UK, was surprised they are from New Jersey.

And 1986 wow, that echo in parts of the singing is done just right as well.

It’s a YES

Ill yes it.

I really enjoyed the bass line and the guitar solo. But the singer gave me Billy Bob Sling Blade vibes to be honest and that alone almost lost me.

No love for the smoke machine?

It’s a no from me.

For some reason I was reminded of Huey Lewis and the News, and that’s enough for a no.

Mental state not helped by just leaving work, and catching a tram that should easily have got me to my train if the ####s in their cars didn’t stop across the intersection for multiple sets of lights.

Seems they collaborated with quite a few artists, some stand outs being Lou Reed, The Kinks, Otis Blackwell

Might go down the blow you to “Smithereens” music hole

I was already to give that a no after seeing Frosty’s Huey Lewis reference.

I’m buggered if I know how he made that connection…didn’t hear it at all.

Yes
