What is a Steve Hoffman forum?
Music forum. Its excellent. Covers music in general and also hifi equipment stuff.
Its also reknown for utterly ludicrous beatle threads. Other than that its very enjoyable.
Edit* Also politics is a banned topic, even in the general discussion forums, which I think is just lovely
I’m not even a member, I just go there often to read stuff about best pressings to look for and often get hooked into certain threads about bands I like.
I think your average REM fan won’t rate those songs too highly. Not cos they charted but because they’re outliers to the stuff that made them so good.

The trouble with those forums is that they’re largely populated by music snobs (sh*t, a bit like some of you wankers in here) 
It’s like when people try to tell me that Stairway to Heaven is nowhere near Led Zeppelin’s top song. Anyone who tells me that is put straight into the ignore area.

I fail to see what’s wrong with that list. They’d be mostly a bunch of die hard fans who’ve followed the band for years. Most of the top songs are exactly what I expected to see. They were a huge alternative band for a decade.

OK so instant 0 votes for pop/rock/pedo bands pretending their basic pop song was disco. Instant 4/10 for lazy overplayed top 40 obviousness. 4/10 for funk bands playing funk that was funk. Almost put Leif Garrett in the running but pretend skaters can FRO. That leaves:
