The Reigning DJ King (MKV) @Preliminary_Point2...playing some stuff

Think it was just called the 125 or something. Saw Carcass there.

Can’t believe the DK’s are still touring. I can’t keep up with it these days.

Used to be Wall St when Meanies, Spiderbait et al had rad all ages shows in the early 90s.

Saw the pommy band Reef there too. They were pretty good but my opinion may have been slightly influenced by the Sony Music schmooze free bar for VIPs like me :smile:

YYY.

Yes to Wall St / Hifi Bar. The Dirty Three, Dandy Warhols and BRMC my top 3 gigs there

That’s actually a pretty good venue. Have seen a lot of gigs there. I was thinking of the one the other way. Max Watts, though, what an awful name for anything. Jeez. Like when Homer changed his name to Max Power.

(Edit: saw Fugazi, Shellac and Helmet there, that I can recall.)

Lenny looks impressed

One of the best for me at HiFi was Andrew WK. Hardly any tickets had sold so the promoters asked the guys at Missing Link to put a bunch of names on the door. We all got in for free, got hammered, and the gig went off! Dudes all over the stage, riding WK’s shoulders, lots of fist pumping and mayhem. It’s the only time I’ve ever caught a pick.
Saw Fugazi, Foo Fighters, At The Drive-In there at various times.

Ha ha!

I back @TDSpartan. I think his set will be so good, even his salty detractors will begrudgingly vote yes :slight_smile:

I remember that! I passed on a ticket from Pete and Diane at missing link and then heaps of my friends went and everyone had crazy stories. I was bummed I said no…

Yeah, it was like walking in to a private party. “Hey, you’re here! Free ticket? Yes, me too!”

If there are any other DJs who haven’t had a turn and want to play. Go right ahead. If other people know a DJ I’ve missed, who might want to play, please ping them.

@Deckham, @Langers4, @SMJ, @westozziebomber, @Kj_11, @Yossarian, @Socks_and_Sandals, @Crazy_Bomber, any of you up for a spin on the Live DJ set? First in!
