The Reigning DJ King (MKV) @Preliminary_Point2...playing some stuff

Thanks @Kira you have done an epic job coordinating this Live set. It’s been fun. Cheers.

I regret accepting an early nomination, I remembered/found some cool (to me) live clips after the fact. Might just have to mix them in with a regular set.

So… while we’re waiting for Spartan to front, here’s an idea for a future theme…

Two songs.
Songs where the main feature is something other than guitar/bass/drums/keyboards.
For instance, things which could be thrown up;
Good Vibrations with its theremin.
Baker Street with its goddawful sax.
Something based on strings.
Anything classical.
Hell, even Billy Joel’s a cappella (and awful) For The Longest Time would qualify!!

Thought it might mix things up and introduce some interesting instruments into the equation.
For anyone who’s yearned to play Uilleann pipes, this would be for you…

Well done to everybody who participated! Congratulations to @Hoffy for winning the LL DJ crown and becoming the first Lady of Live  And special thanks to @Crazy_Bomber for coming up with the idea.

@TDSpartan you have been nominated for the throne and the regular DJ King rules apply. Administrative duties return into the safe hands of KoK Rain.

I’m spent. Abandoning the DJ thread for the rest of the day  See everybody later!

Or a set of entirely computer created music. No real instruments.

Great percentage @hoffy. Hopefully we have a similar one by round 8 next year.

I think we would all be ecstatic with that percentage, something for the boys to aspire to.

I’ve really enjoyed this live set, and yet more musical rabbit holes to head down.

Again, thanks to @Kira for coordinating us.

I like that you need a much smaller jury to move things along, and the three votes make for a much better balance and less saltiness.

Sterling job, Kira. Thanks kindly.

Congrats @Hoffy

Cheers @Crazy_Bomber - that was great fun.

I’m entertaining four mad Russians at the nude retreat this w/end, so am kinda busy. @Spartan has been nominated. If he is a no show, @Klawdy hasn’t spun for a while & can have a go.

One drawback for me was not being able to participate on busy days. One song is fine here and there when I’m flat out, but I dropped out from around Tuesday when I just couldn’t match voting times with being able to get a chance to play three tunes straight. Late at night when I could kick back there was often no DJ, haha.

Concealed headphones :headphones: in your lectures, Jez-san. Assign a writing task to the students. Sneaky listen & vote. Presto!

Hehe. Actually, unless I’ve got wifi in my classroom I wait till I get home. YouTube clips eat up my limited monthly data in no time.

I’ve heard you mention this before, dude. I didn’t know there was such a thing here in Japan. Are you rocking a ガラケイ? My previous phone was unlimited data & my new phone is 50GB per month, although I never get even close to that, despite heavy sports/music/Blitz (and occasional porn) use.

Download or upload?

Down. Hard enough as it is to keep it up these days.

Spartan is AWOL. Spin ‘er up, Klawdy.

I’ve already had tracks critiqued by Hambo Jnr and Mrs. Hambo. Neither of them were positive btw, so I look forward to hearing what doggy Hambo has to woof about this one.

My bills start low and go up incrementally once I go over a limit of 1gb or something. I like it, it’s my way to get myself off the Internet and just listen to podcasts/music or read a book instead. Sucks for DJ King though.
