Yep, surely I have been down that alley…
Wilbur the dog insisted I vote YES
DJ Zimmer (second spin)
SONG #1246 Dogs are the best people, by the Fauves
YES: Deck, wimm, RC, up, Kira
NO: Klaw,
5-1
Yep
I’ve given a track to Klawdy. If it doesn’t get through I think @up_up hasn’t had a spin for a while. I’ve also been out of action for a while, so if I’ve overlooked anyone obvious @Kira can nominate. See youze later.
Oh, big YES indeed!!! I spun some Fauves here a while back with success - they are IMO one of the great under-appreciated Australian acts, who somehow found themselves pegged as a novelty act a la TISM…
Hate dogs and The Fauves.
No
Prefer Swans, right?
Like Swans more than dogs that’s for sure.
YES
Warning- thread veering into football discussion- please return to the DJ King lane

Back in the day saw these guys play at the Central Club. For some reason at that show they were crazy loud (or I was too old?). Good, but painful.
I saw them play with Hoodoo Gurus at The Prince Of Wales in the mid-90’s at the height of summer. A show that was so crowded it was nearly impossible to bend your arm and get a can up to your mouth. My God, it was packed and uncomfortable. And stinking fkn HOT!!!
Probably not as hot as the Breeders at the POW in Jan 95. The bouncers were throwing buckets of water over the first few rows of the crowd, and it was evaporating before it reached the people*
- May be a slight exaggeration, but not much.

Actually the hottest show I can recall was Radiohead at Festival Hall in Feb 1998. It had been 35 deg-plus all week and was pushing 40 on the day. The A/C in the venue was non-existent and the knuckle-dragging bouncers refused to open the venue doors to at least let some semblance of air in. Even Thom Yorke (a man of precious few words on stage) was moved to say “Geez, it’s f**king hot in here” at one point between songs.
I was in shorts and a T-shirt and seated for the show and had a river of sweat running down my back all night (and I’m not generally a heavy perspirer).

Guess you missed the Gunners playing a daytime gig on Mercury on '89. The front row evaporated upon reaching the surface but the bouncers refused to allow punters to bring their own thermal shields through the gate.
9-2
Yep
It’s ok. Made it just in time:
Liked the chorus from 1’40" to 2’05".
Not much else though I’m afraid…
No.
