He spent a lot of time on the sidelines getting treatment and struggled late in the game. He is being rested so as not to cause an injury and give him a week to freshen up. Good management.

Hasnāt played in two weeks, was not in great form to begin with, was ill last week, we looked completely different around the ball in the best way ever without him

No he doesnt, he just needs to do whatever the ā ā ā ā myers does to the coaches , then he will win most improved in 8 odd ā ā ā ā ā ā ā years.
Absolute joke , but not unexpected. Oh well they will get what they deserve qnd again itll go back to being one game closer to the coach going bye bye.

Why the FK are we going back to Myers and Brown??
Do we not have any youth at all to bring in that could potentially end up better than these 2??
I donāt understand why under this coach, since even the year of top ups we refuse to give more opportunity to youth.
Adelaide had the balls to drop Gibbs, we bring back Myers, he wasnāt even in form before his late omission last week!!!

Even though I donāt agree with Myers inclusion (iād prefer more run) the inās are all logical.
Dummy spitting in here is amusing.
Hooker was needed for Lions tall fwd line, you canāt play 4 taller defenders and Ridley in one back line so Francis is out. His form hasnāt been great (and obv seen as not currently ahead of Ambrose - pure stopper- or Hurley - 3rd tall) so has some work to do, and if needs a freshen up so be it.
Redman is the better defender / breaks lines & uses pill more effectively than Guelfi. Wing is probably more Guelfiās best spot but McGrath and Smith ahead of him. Woosh said he has been sore also.
We then needed a kpf with Smack out, Clarke/Belly will probably play out of goal square so from what we have fit & available Brown CHF it is. And heās proven can do it and works his ā ā ā ā off there.
A Clarke/Belly and Brown setup for our two key forwards is not ideal but thatās reality of our injury list at present. Stringer 3rd tall.
But ā¦
Pies ran with Cox (US hack) & Mihocek (nobody VFL kpd) for most of end of last year and still are now as their two kpfās. DeGoey as 3rd tall.
Didnāt stop them charging to the GF.
Our kpf setup is not too different to that this week. Weāve got talent around them (Stringer/Raz/TiPPA) to make it work if our midfield fires like last week.

Francis trained fully on Wednesday so I can see why injury might be the reason.

You can justify him over Joe, Stewart and Smack.
Selection in the back line is mostly a reflection of our list. Overflowing with medium/tall options, all of whom are easily better than VFL level. If theyāre all fit, selection in that part of the ground is going to be a ā ā ā ā fight all year. Other positions, less so.
