The Team: TBC is in but is TBC - SYDNEY SWANS v ESSENDON SCG , 7:50pm AEST Friday, May 10, 2019

Forgot to say - I’m happy with Ham getting another crack. Apart from nervous fumbles, he was v.good vs. Norf and looked polished in the ressies on Sunday.

Myers in the ruck please.

how could anyone be confident, this is a perfect set up for essington to rear it’s lovely head if ever there was to be.

All Sydney need to know is if they apply enough pressure and effort they can beat us, and that’s one thing even in their downward trajectory of late that very rarely not bring those 2.

Not as ridiculous as it first sounds. It might a needed move so the back 6 stay as a unit.

It that team stays as is got to be happy with that.

Belly/Clarke duo splits their workload and also will get well on top of Sinclair

Run from half back and more outside run obviously identified. In order to bring Ham in, Guelfi (or even McGrath) perhaps moving to 7th def/mid & Redman has Ridley covered off HBF so out he goes.

Bags the old bloke gets a rest, Fanta in.

Still not convinced they won’t send Hooker fwd & Francis back but if not at least we have some height from Clarke/Belly in fwd line to keep Allir accountable & prevent easy intercepts.

B: Saad Hooker Hurley
HB: Redman Ambrose McKenna
C: McGrath Heppell Ham
HF: Fantasia Stringer Smith
F: Francis Clarke TIPPA
R: Belly Shiel Zerrett

B: Zaka Parish Myers Guelfi

Looks like we plan to kill them with speed. Ham and Raz in will add some serious pace. Sydney are slow as ■■■■ these days.

everyone realises Sydney are in tank mode right?

Very little hope of losing this one.

Raz off the back flank has worked recently. He ended up with about 800m gained.

edit* Melbourne game 717m gained running off the backline.

Don’t be surprised if Tbell plays at full forward most of the game

Jeez you’d hope Bellchambers can get up for the game!

If he’s out then you probably have to bring in Hartley. Push Hooker forward. And make Clarke do the rucking all day.

They are not going to stay on 1 win for the year… especially when it’s only Round 8. This is a home game they will consider winnable.

You’d be a real pain in the Tijuana Brass on the team bus.

Langford dropped for having a Game which is eeerly similar to Myers for Myers.

Bags deserved to be dropped.

Ridley looked tired, why doesn’t he get the managed instead of omitted.

Any chance we go with Francis back, Connor stays on the wing, Ham at HF Clarke and Belly rotate deep.

If there was any game we needed a big bodied midfielder it’s this one. As far as I’m concerned it’s up to Myers to be the grunt against big Sydney bodies and if we get beaten around the ball we will probably loos the game and it’s his fault.

No surprises in the VFL team. Daniher and Baguley are not named, Langford and Ridley are.

EDIT: besides Mynott not being named. Gone off to find some tricks.

Where’s Mynott? Not named in VFL.

Kudos to Brayden Ham

What a find by Disco & co for pick 72

J D out Z C in
Langford out and Myers in
Bags out and Fanta in
Riddles out Hams in

First three changes are obvious and reasonably like for like.

Ridley out, does Francis go back and Hams forward and Stringer play a roaming CHF and maybe Zac Clarke distributes to Raz, Walla, Hams, Guelfi/Smith?

The SCG creates some different possibilities, we probably don’t need 3 talls up forward and our smalls could cause a lot of trouble, I don’t mind the look of it.

If TBC doesn’t play, and without Buddy playing, maybe Hartley does come in and Cale goes forward. I wouldn’t be too surprised.

Although looking at the Swans, maybe Ridley coming back in for TBC could work, given the third tall seems to be Nick Blakey who physically Ridley would match up well on. Which would leave Hooker as the relief ruck, which is probably one of our better options.

Did Ridley travel? Bags did, but he could be covering for Devon, with Guelfi going mid and Bags forward.

Does anyone know who the second travelling emergency is?
