I can’t even get disgusted by the selections. Just horrendous. Agree Brown needed to go… and Langford stuffed up the interchange… but ffs he is the exact type of player that needs to be given time to find his feet and answer the question one way or another.
Guys like bags, zaka, myers… seen, tested and found wanting.
Can only hope we somehow pull out a miracle.
I hope I’m wrong,
I want to be wrong !!
Please EFC let me be farcking wrong !!!
If he is a tall defender then why did we play 4 tall defenders in R1? Woosh is looking for excuses to drop him…and hence Blitz blew up.
Just because you are 192cm doesn’t make you kpp automatically. Cripps/Watson and co played midfield. Ridley is not a kpp. He is a good runner too, and if he can adopt then can play on the wings.

He is the Zaharakis replacement. Woosha just doesent want to admit it.
I don’t think people are upset at Langford getting dropped ( he deserved to be dropped) I think it’s more along the lines of if he can be dropped why aren’t the more experienced players who are playing just as bad not sent down to the VFL
I think said it best in an earlier post. The changes are good, But there should of been more

If Bags and Myers get dropped this year, they aren’t coming back in. It’ll be Stanton all over again.

I agree. Except… I am now starting to believe this contract talk about Myers and Zaka having clauses (due to saga) that they can’t get dropped.
It seems insane… but why would Myers ‘drop himself’ to gain form. Because the club can’t do it.
I’d be stunned if it is true, but it’s the sort of
Thing that sadly we would do.
I think this might be Bags last game. He’s been given 3. 2 would be in his bottom 5 at the club. This one would need to be a cracker.
IMO, it is almost always a mistake to trade two first round picks for a player…and this match is the battle of two such teams, who overrated their lists and did just that, and are now peaking at North Melbourne levels of awesomeness.
Melbourne are slightly more advanced on the journey than us. Hence, in the last trade period they had to trade out their KPF in return for a KPD. They’re just shuffling their hand now, because that’s all they can do. Surprise, surprise, they can’t kick a goal. Weideman isn’t up to the task, at least not yet.
Hoping our tall forwards can clunk a mark. Seems the coaching staff have decided that a strategy of loading up on marking targets is easier than telling the mids to actually look where they are kicking it, or to try kicking the ball lower than the ionosphere…what am I saying, they’ll probably still find a way to isolate Tippa at FF.
If we can’t mark it, I expect Melbourne to give us wind burn on the rebound. Maybe Kobe Mutch can use his pace to help shut down their rebound run…oh my god, we’re screwed…sorry, just joking Kobe!..Hope we get to see Jok on the MCG at some stage this year, because I’m with those posters who think we lack run. And we’ve just dropped Brown, our GPS-gun.
Anyway, I will still be at the game. And I’ll still say GO BOMBERS!

I think you are being overly considerate with 30 possessions, lucky to get 20 tomorrow night with a 60% efficiency.
Think Myers will be better in this game as Melbourne has slow bulls in their midfield.
I like Clarke coming into the game, I would like him to start in the ruck and Bell to go forward as our plan seems to bomb it into the 50 at least he has the height top contest and hopefully Tippa and Fantasia lift.
Stringer will back up his recent form aswell and is nearing a breakout game
I think we will have a red hot go and come away with the chocolates
Langford is ahead of himself and needs too stop focusing on being Fyfe because he never will be, but play his own brand and keep trying to improve on his weakness. He has too work much harder physically as far as I’m concerned.

Brilliant, let’s do that.
As the clock hand strikes 12, I am confident in a win.
Such is the journey of a essington supporter

I am bereft. We tinker at selection when we are playing for our season tonight. The 3rd quarter last week was encouraging, but even St Kilda managed to snuff us out when we should have gone on with it from as little as 8 points down which indicates that we are probably a long way from our best form.
Having said that , I agree with the 2 ruckman gambit. But its not actually a radical idea, more like a “no brainer”
Season done if we don’t win tonight
What a joke of a club.
Where did he say to drop Hurley? And Ridley played with both Ambrose and Hurley in round 1 so why do either of them have to come out now?
They’ll get dropped round 21 so we can “play the kids”

I love these changes, they’re the best changes ever made by a football club. We’re gonna win so hard that Melbourne will withdraw from the afl.
Yes, is a tall HBF with very neat foot skills and composure. There is no way he should have ever been dropped in the first place. Spare me match ups, you’re going into a game against a bottom 4 side, you play to your strengths. Besides there was an OBVIOUS match up for him, his name is Parker, remember he out marked McGrath with no problem? 190cm vs 192cm both only have a handful of games experience, sounds a perfect match up
You make it sound like a bad thing

I know people are frustrated, but half the posts in the forum these days are people bagging the club for things they haven’t done yet.
