The Tennis Thread - from Jan 2020 (Part 2)

Zverev was off for 6 months with injury when he was close to the number one ranking - Its been a slow road back, however, he got better in the second half of 2023 - He has the game to win a Grand Slam, though I still worry about his mentality

I fell asleep :woman_shrugging:t2:

Same , I was knackered during the first game, went to bed straight after it was done

I stayed up for the full match. I would have pulled the pin if it had gone into a fifth set. Zverev dominated the match throughout, and Alcaraz only played to his full potential for about half an hour. Even then that was as much about Zverev losing concentration as much as anything else. It was a dominant performance.

I hope they never schedule the aus open like this again

Nino’s girl Sabalenka up tonight in the women’s SF.

US Final rematch payback time

Craig tiley has ■■■■■■ the scheduling raw.

He needs to be moved on.

Why are the women starting at 7.30? What if the first match goes for 3 hours? The next lot won’t be happy. Ridiculous.

What is the first match? Doubles?

It’s both women’s semis tonight. One after the other

Novak is playing at 2:30pm tomorrow

Why didn’t they have Yastremska and Zheng at 2:30pm today? dumb having both female semis after each other

They played last night, not very long of a turnaround.

Should’ve played Coco vs Sabalenka in the afternoon today.

I see

Really? What a ■■■■ time for the GOAT

Yeah i thought he would have got the night sesion

Extra day prep though

They had an extra day off and Zverev started way too late last night. Would not have been fair at all.
