And de Minaur takes the 2nd set, he’s now up 6-4 6-3 1-0

Back to 2 sets all.

Cilic with all the momentum.

Why aren’t there posts in here? Stuff the VFL!! This guy has the biggest ticker in Australian sport.

Damn, got down a break in the last, evened it up again but lost 7-5 in the fifth after 4 hours.

This guy won’t go the same way as Tomic, he chases every ball like Rafa. Great effort.

De Minaur doesnt have the raw talent of others but he has a strong will to win and adheres to a game plan. Every chance he could end up a solid top 10 player.

Almost a certainty I’d say. We’re heading into a fairly weak few years I reckon seeing as the current batch still haven’t been able to take over from Federer, Rafa and Djokovic.
Good opportunity for him to snag a few majors early in his career just like Hewitt did.

He was great today.
Massive future.

Nick’s tactics and shot selection against Fed were worthy of a 15 year old but not a professional player. The raging at his box is infantile and distracts him from preparing for the next point. It’s not tanking, but it leads to the same outcome. He seems a victim of his own talent as he’s never needed to dissect his opponent’s game, probe for a weakness, wear them down physically and mentally. Winning has been too easy for too long.
It’s amazing he’s still managed at times to beat the best given how underdeveloped parts of his game are.
All of these things are readily fixable by a good coach with 12 months of effort, but he doesn’t have that long to make this change happen. He doesn’t seem to enjoy losing so you would think he would soon hire a coach and try not to.

Serena won the first set 6-0 but Kanepi has just leveled at a set each

except he has to be willing to listen, accept, respect and follow advice

Millman has managed to do more against Federer than Nick.
He’s taken the 2nd set, and it’s 1 set all.

WTF

Watch the first set and Millman is getting crushed, lucky to win a game in that first set, could have been down 4-0…

2nd set and Federer cruising serving at 5-3…

NEK MINNIT

Turn back on, Millman broke back twice to win the second set at 7-5, now he just WON the third set 7-6 (7) in a tiebreaker.

If Kyrgios had Millman’s heart, he’d be a slam winner already. Both he and de Minaur come from good stock.

Fed up 4-2 in the 4th and Millman breaks back and levels it at 4-4
