She can play, sometimes. Certainly not very well in Australia.

She can play, sometimes. Certainly not very well in Australia.

Everyone at that level can seriously play the game. The difference is between the ears. And between the ears, Stosur just doesn't have it. Just like Molik before her. All the physical tools are there, but ............

Stosur is crap? She is the best female player we have had since Crawley, who is probably in her 60s by now!

She can play.

She can play.

Of course she can. That is not in dispute. See my post above; can't be ■■■■■■ typing it again.

Molik was starting to put it together, imho, before she copped that virus or ear infection or whatever, that stuffed up her balance and basically ended her career.

You don't fluke a Grand Slam*.

Consistent top ten ranking for several years. Multiple Q/F's, Semis and a few finals.

Stosur can play.

Find the piece by R Laver recently where he described how form can fluctuate on a daily basis the older you get.

*M Bartoli excepted. Seriously, if she even dreamed about the run she got at this year's Wimbledon she would have woke up and slapped herself.

Re Marion Bartoli:  Her win/loss percentage, number of titles won and Grand Slam record are all substantially better than Sam Stosur's.  The only stat in which Stosur beats her is highest ranking: Stosur got to 4, Bartoli to 7.

And Molik was hot...unlike Stosur.

Sad that Martina is no longer commemorated.

I commemorate.

Mind you, the new title is pretty good too.

The last great sight in Aussie tennis

Aussie Jelena appears to be using the eastern forehand grip.

And here's the extreme grip.

According to Matthew White's tweet today - Jelena still hits the ball well but is carrying extra pudding.

Lol.

Aren't we all?

Thread should be renamed to undies appreciation. Perves!

My Aus Open tickets have already arrived. Yay!

Giddeeup!

Don't tell me you've never taken a sneaky peek at Alexandr Dolgopolov?

Seriously, check out the girl playing with the extreme forehand in that youtube link. She's using the back of the raquet!
