That decision makes sense. There’s a more urgent need to expand passenger vehicle charging than subsidise a prototype truck that may not go anywhere. In terms of benefit to dollar spent, the car chargers I expect would have a far broader and larger impact. That corridor would only benefit Tesla and a small number of freight companies.
I’m not sold on the Tesla long haul truck concept with current battery tech.
