I just…you know what, I now just feel sad. For weeks I’ve been asking the Trump / Musk apologists in here to give me some sort of in depth analysis about Musks interview and Vances support of AfD and Alice Weidel. And other tangible similarities to Nazi sympathisers / rhetoric. Etc etc. I thought the whole Seig Heil salute was a Red Herring argument because there was already enough incontrovertible events that were beyond doubt to ring the warning bells. And now this.
And there’s been none. Nothing. No one wants to discuss it, let alone admit it. And whilst it seems a minor point on a meaningless footy forum, I feel it’s actually vitally important. Because that wilful ignoring at microscopic , grass roots level is replicated and amplified at every single level right across the world. If you don’t call this bloke - and the rest of these sociopathic arse holes - out then you are a willing participant in it. These people aren’t irrelevant curiosities, they’re in the key positions of power. It’s that simple. This is - in a tiny but incremental way - partly on you. You’re part of that machine. The pushing ever further to “anything is acceptable from my side coz the others…” leads ultimately to absolute inhumanity. The world needs critical thinking and analysis right now. Not denialism and silence.
