It’s a bit like lying, it’s not a lie if you believe in it.
A bit mind blowing that Grok claims that everywhere on the planet is essentially stolen land, therefore the US isn’t stolen land.
Pretty sure the Japanese, Chinese, Indians, Egyptians, etc. have been in those places since forever.
Gee, I wonder where the first self aware evil AI is coming from?
I heard American Jesus got deported to heaven.
Here’s something that I don’t think many people have considered.
AI as a broad-based tool by definition gets its intelligence from the interwebs.
Which is as dumb as two rocks, one of which has a learning disorder.
And Musk has already proved over and over again that of the owner is a racist ■■■■, then his AI is going to put out racist, unreliable, ■■■■ statements.
Yes, I know things will get better.
But what we have now is a calculator that says two plus two equals five.
tesla stock go brrrrr
Grok is just Musk. So once he’s dead. He can still live out his fantasies
This is an increasing problem with llm models in n general, and it’s pretty well documented (although largely ignored)
Basically all the pre-AI body of human-generated content available has been trawled and incorporated into the models. But over the last few years especially a huge proportion of new content available for model training has been generated by the same models. They’re basically trying to grow by consuming their own vomit at this point. The problem is called ‘model decay’, and it’ll likely lead to a race situation, where increasing sophistication of the model-building techniques tries to overcome the increasing unreliability of the data that the models are being trained on.
Grok is of course in a bit of a category of its own, as most other models don’t have the CEO jumping online at 2 in the morning with ketamine leakjng out of every pore and pushing up a changeset that suddenly gets it obsessing about white genocide in South Africa, or preaching about the greatness of Adolf hitler.
You said what I said but smarter.
How does AI learn if the teacher belongs in an asylum?
As of February 2026, Elon Musk is the world’s wealthiest person, with a net worth estimated by Forbes at approximately US$852 billion. His fortune is driven by substantial ownership stakes in SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, with recent valuations pushing his wealth close to the $1 trillion mark following a major merger involving his AI ventures.
He is doing OK for a fruitcake.
One could counter that by asking what is he doing to help the human race.
Tesla - it’s a car. Yes it’s electric but there’s lot of alternates. As a company it is way over valued compared to company like Toyota which provides affordable fit for purpose cars in almost every country in the world unlike Tesla.
SpaceX - unless it takes him to Mars than I would not be valuing this business at a single dollar given the lack of benefits it really provides other than for vanity.
Starlink - probably the one business I see as adding value by offering fast reliable internet to the masses at a reasonable price
xAI - he ruined Twitter as a reliable source of information and now has created an AI bot that spews out his propaganda and misinformation. Yes AI has a purpose but not when it’s based on such flawed fundamentals
You have a large captive cult, you’re going to go okay.
Most of his “wealth” is vastly overvalued capital. Sooner or later that will come tumbling down.
LOL, Atlassian started in 2002 by University mates, Mike Cannon-Brooke and Scott Farquhar and has never posted a profit. Cannon-Brooke is worth over $12 billion and Farquhar $7 billion.
Musk is not the exception, he is the rule.
In a Capitalist world, who gives a fark. I have a Tesla so he helped me.
Twitter got sold to xAI a while ago, because Twitter was going to go bust and selling it to a more profitable but still Musk-owned company put this off in the short term.
xAI got sold to SpaceX a while later, probably for the same reason. No AI company is making money at the moment, although CEOs of AI companies are a different matter.
I think SpaceX is the safest of Musk’s businesses. Several countries have largely outsourced their space program, and their regional internet coverage, to SpaceX. They have a very solid reliable business model, which will even likely survive the event of Trump losing power in the US.
Tesla has some great tech but others are rapidly catching up, plus they’ve had some spectacular failures recently and Musk has alienated large parts of their customer base. Not quite circling the drain, but not long-term stable either.
The Boring Company is a pathetic joke, that one that implants chips in your brain is still a long way from generating major financial returns as well.
He’ll be wealthy beyond the wildest dreams of someone like me for the rest of his life, but I don’t think he’ll be the world’s richest man forever.
