You guys are bizarre. Sydney water is rubbish compared to Melbourne. Not surprising when you consider the primary use of their catchment is the creation of cowpats.
And it tastes much worse after you boil it, too. After doing that for a while during their 1998 giardia scare, we concluded it was better to die than drink that boiled rubbish.
