I’m sick of hearing the same crap every preseason about players recording PBs in time trials. The clubs never trained harder. Young blokes are ready to step up, old blokes never felt better. You dont hear this crap coming out of Hawthorn, Sydney and Geelong because every year they prove themselves on the field. We all know who the list cloggers are, time to play the kids and have a big cleanout at seasons end. Coaches included. Phew vent over.

Nobody here’s giving up on Essendon. Oh, we’ll rant and rave and ■■■■ about, but we’ll all be here next week, and the week after, and the year after, and the decade after.

Funnily enough if you have a look at who finished top ten in the time trials it was mostly guys playing in the vfl
The season is shot. No point now in winning and finishing 8 - 11. Keep losing and draft well, get rid of the dead wood.

Our whole midfield are slow.
Slow to cover the ground but also slow decision makers.
Really need to try a different mix in there.

You will all be salivating come draft day though…not sure another top 5 pick was expected so soon, but we need to nail it and launch again. Richmond were a laughing stock two seasons ago.
