Some consolation It will keep them away the beaches. Might see more masks if the dust gets going.
Bloody warm night out of the blue.
Never got below 21 degrees down here, as it is now.
Low 30’s here today and have seen a couple of decent sized dead browns on the road already. Predictions from some of a bumper snake season

Just the perfect day for work down here today.
Min o/night of 11, maxed at 21 around 3, light Sea breeze most of the arvo.
if only everyday could be like today, … sigh.

I went out around 3.30 and a few drops started to fall, so left it half an hour. 21 degrees, cool breeze, went around the Rail Trail where @bomber5au copped a tiger a couple weeks back. Scared the hell out of a couple of little girls who were heading for it, and consequently scared the hell out of the parents who were seeing stranger danger.
The creeks which are normally dry are still flowing hard.
Drove into Warrnambool to check it out. Still tons of standing water and a lovely new lake off the highway about 150m NW of Killarney.
In 5 years, the only indigenous wildlife I’ve seen is an echidna. No snakes, no wombats, no (live) kangaroos. The other side of the street has had a few snakes.
Couple of Koalas in the driveway at Killarney. I expect all the rain/floods will mobilise the snakes.
The scuttlebutt is that the farmers are expecting a bumper year.
Hang on…we did have a koala up a tree in Bank St in January.
