You bunch of Cornholios need some teepee for your bungholes.
Richmond have embitchened us for the last 7 years and we just beat them. We’re second on the ladder.
Christ on an e-bike, cheer up emo kids.

Are you high
if this team has any fortitude, next week they are playing a team coached by a guy who called them a bunch of spuds, ironically hardwicks face looks like a potato, but i digress. This is a game that will severely dent gold coasts faint finals hopes when we wipe the floor with them and show that head wobbling ■■■■ where his place is.
Our game is so dependent on winning clearances, getting it forward, playing a high press and locking it in.
We don’t win clearance, we look far more vulnerable.
Our injury list was a lot worse at that point and we also had little to come back.
LOL
They ought to know no team wins a premiership shallacking a side in regular season by 100points.
And just because they beat such & such doesn’t mean they can beat so & so.
Their half backs destroyed us. Thank god Langford started to hit up higher and take some grabs late in the game.
The amount of times our forward would sit 70 metres off the kicker and let some spud sit in the hole 50 off was excruciating.
Tigers played smarter wet weather footy.
We steadied with 10 to go on the clock which was pleasing.
Also we need Draper back badly
We didn’t exactly get scored against heavily. It’s just we struggle to score as well. I thought our half backline didn’t look troubled at all.
Win is a win
Ridley fabulous
Stringer great 200th
Hind has been very good last month
Merrett is Merrett
But
Why are we such a dumb football team?
So many brain fades
Just when you think we’re not too bad we make some u17 howlers.
Richmond coming to play was always gonna happen. 2 huge losses and a home Dreamtime game was the perfect ‘redeem’ scenario.
In the end I was happily relieved.
Interesting stat said that we are the second ranked side for applying pressure post clearance, the first is Sydney
I disagree with many things in this post. At present we don’t know how good this team is. I certainly disagree that we are not a top 2 or 4 team, as of now. We sit where we do because the other teams around us are inconsistent in their performances. Essendon is not relying on other teams to lose to put us in this position, what the team has achieved thus far is purely due to their own performances. The debate about whether we are a top 8 team, needs to be shelved until the end of the season, as we are not even halfway through as yet.
The Tigers came to play tonight, they lifted because it is dreamtime and also because they have been stung by their lack of performance over the last couple of weeks. The took it up to Essendon all night, and l agree that Bolton and Martin had great games and did their level best to drag them over the line. Bolton’s concussion was a result of a brutal hit, but there is no way of knowing what the game would have looked like had he stayed and played on.
Laverde did a whole lot more than a couple of gutsy things. If you think that is all he did, you weren’t paying sufficient attention. His last 3 games have been top notch, and it is no surprise he has been gathering votes in the Nobby award over this period. I agree that Reid needs to come in, as soon as he is able. Laverde is a warrior for the red & black, but not our long term defensive future. That doesn’t mean Reid will automatically come in to replace Laverde, even though that is the most likely scenario. Reid isn’t ready yet, in the meantime Laverde is doing a good job of holding the fort.
Kelly has found form this season, and is doing a decent job.
Guelfi has played a handful of games, due to being limited by injury but has featured prominently in three of them. Tonight he was well held, but has been given big roles this season and has lifted to fulfill them.
Hind was outstanding last week and again tonight. He is another who will feature in the Nobby votes for this round, and rightly so. He is playing with dare l say it, some composure and assurance. Those are not words we usually use to describe his game, but it can’t be denied. There is still plenty of improvement left in him, he is just starting to hit his straps.
I felt that Heppell was beaten tonight, but has been in very good form this season. He is playing his best football in years, now that he is injury free. He is unlikely to improve at this stage of his career, he doesn’t need to, as his best is good enough.
All of those players are foot soldiers who play their roles and contribute without being bona fide stars, but they are exactly the sort of players a club/team needs if it is going to push for a premiership, because no team is stacked with 23 elite stars. Right now, they are performing and contributing. Some will be moved on, some will continue and some may still improve.
Menzie, lost form form and touch, and l don’t know if he will get it back.
I too would like to see Roberts in action sometime soon, and also Baldwin, but not until they are ready and have enough good form to merit a call up. I still hold out high hopes for Hunter for next year as well. Bryan will get a call up and soon, it could be as early as next week against the Suns, as Goldy struggled last week against Xerri and this week against Nankervis, both very physical rucks who would have dominated Bryan if he had played. We might need to run with 2 rucks.
In summary l am glad you don’t have the keys.
Major concern for the night is just how many goals we scored from elementary errors from them.
I think 3 times they had a mark in D50 and kicked it over their teammates head who was in acres of space and we goaled 3 times.
Any decent team ain’t giving you those easy goals.
Stringer?
Durham?
Redman?
They all had great games aswell
Yup loss next week
Guelfi OMG shepherds were really good.
Then the shot on goal…wtf planet?
Tbh I can’t see us winning. We looked tired, we have to travel (again) and GC are pretty hot at home. Can easily see a 5-6 goal loss
Good to get the win. They were always going to have a crack, the conditions suited the Richmond forward fumble. A few of our players were down, did we have the flu? I don’t know but it happens anyway.
Bank the 4 points and move on. I seriously think we need to simply keep up chalking the wins now, to give ourselves the chance to have a crack and see where we are really at in the second half of the season. I think the players will be up for it but time will tell.
For us to be successful I believe we have the core, just need to fill with some small forwards and some pace on all lines. Enjoy the win guys- go bombers!
Predicted 5th, we beat Cats 4th.
Then our mids should feed off witts.
