OK, I find this trading picks and players, etc, very confusing, but am going to give it my best shot to work this out.
First take a shot of vodka to clear the head. The blues trade 9 & 43, for Papley, and throw in a reserves players to sweeten the deal. Deal done.
Take another 2 shots of vodka, to get down to nitty gritty. Sydney then offer 5, 9 and Sam Reid to Essendon, who tell them to go to hell. Deal not done.
Take another 2 shots… where was I. Yes, so Carlton offer something up for Jack Martin and they somehow get him, no idea how. Ryder goes to St Kilda. Both deals done.
OK another 2 shots… Fitzroy weigh in and offer Bernie Quinlan in exchange for Daniher, think Terry is his name, but are knocked back again, which upsets Robert Walls to the surprise of absolutely nobody.
Throw away the shot glass, take a swig from the bottle. Some Bruce ( I think Lee) gets traded to Footscray to play with Hawkins. Deal gets done.
Throw the empty bottle at Tom Browne’s head on TV. TV is stuffed… dammit I am hitting the pub.
No idea who it is and no care. It’s just an rsole that hides behind anonymity and relies on riling Essendon fans for it’s attention seeking neurosis. Also note that it pulls a name that had already been thrown up by others, embellishes the tale with unprovable emotive trash such as “heated exchange” and generates some more controversy.
I was looking at how to get back into the first round…hmmm…
Most obvious path to me is if the Brad Hill trade comes alive again…because STK have pick 18 that they will have to relinquish in one of their deals…and on the other side of the Brad Hill trade, you have Fremantle who will appreciate points for Henry…if Essendon gets involved to lubricate STK’s trades, their might be a chance of swapping 31+33 for 18 (with minor adjustments).
