Trade Talk 2019 Pt2

GWS list manager basically said Bonar is available to a good home for pick 30 this morning. No one has come hard for him yet with bigger deals taking place but he is definitely available if we want to take the punt.

McCartney said Bonar had a really good year as an inside mid in '18 before playing more forward this year. The log-jam of inside mids at GWS have him open to coming home if the right opportunity arises.

If we hold Joe and have picks: 31, 33, 57, 65, 70, 88
Cutler - 57 or 65
Phillips -70

Do we give up 33 for Bonar?

I think so. Or SPP

Come hard
Bigger
Inside
Arises
Erm… up

How about this 3 way?
Sydney.get Daniher & Carlton’s future 2nd rounder
Carlton get. Pick 5 and papley
Essendon get pick 9 and Harry Mckay

Carlton would not give up McKay.

Not even I gave up Bonars at 33.

Carltons forwardline potentially looks pretty good next year

Hf: McGovern Curnow Martin
F: Betts McKay Papley

Hf: Injury prone - over rated - over rated
F: cooked - meh - good

McKay is a very good prospect.

That forward line is better than anything we produced this year

If we can keep Daniher

Hf: Stringer Daniher Smith
F: Fantasia MCKERNAN McDonald-Tipungwuti

but also depth of Snelling, Mosquito, Stewart

i mean its no Lynch and Reiwoldt but its not bad

Bonar’s 2019 NEAFL stats aren’t astonishing or anything.

19.8 disposals, 2.3 marks, 6.2 tackles, 0.6 goals.

I’d prefer a 3 way involving Bonar.

Two of them aren’t at the club yet, one is already injured, another was injured most of last year.

id rather SPP

B: Saad Hooker Ambrose
Hb: McKenna Hurley Heppell
C: Cutler Powell-Pepper Zaharakis
Hf: Smith Daniher Stringer
F: Fantasia McKernan McDonald-Tipungwuti
R: Draper Shiel Merrett
Int: Gleeson Parish McGrath Francis

Cutler and SPP add some size to the mids.
Draper to add some intensity ti the ruck contest.

would even consider Jenkins for McKernan at least would be decent depth.

Yes!!! I’m so happy right now. What a bunch of turkeys.

I would prefer Jenkins on the list instead of Brown

I wonder why Jenkins is having so much trouble attracting any interest. Were the rumours about him feeding Caro inside info true and so clubs are wary of him?

Because once team worked out he got most of his goals with over the top joe the gooses and started keeping a man back, his goals dried up and he ended up in the SANFL.

He’s built like a KPF but plays like a goal sneak and is old and on heaps of money.

Not very appealing.

He is very much an “uncontested” ball player, like Mitch Brown.

They are effectively tall, (very) outside smalls.
