So yeah, weā€™re aiming high this trade period.

Stringer and Laverde didnā€™t have any takers either.

I agree that if we get Maginess, Setterfield (uncontracted) may be in trouble.
He probably has better pace over Setterfield is younger and less injury worries.

I like McGuinness even away from his tagging. Great tackler and can hit the scoreboard too

Probably looking at bringing Finn across so we can have a genuinely hard midfielder to train against.

We canā€™t stick tackles in game, I can only imagine how soft we train.

Heā€™s a goer. Canā€™t question his ability at locking a player down too. Repurposed more forward last season and kicked a few goals. A pressure type forward with lockdown midfield endurance, not against that.

And for this reason I like the move. Itā€™s a good role for him and heā€™s a far better aerobic athlete than someone like Setterfield who weā€™ve pigeon holed into that role at times.

Maginness is below average. I watch the Hawks all the time with some family that are supporters, and they cringe every time he gets the ball. Caldwell and Durham are both capable of tagging, and theyā€™re way better at football.
