Trade talk - from October 2024 (Part 7)

As I always say…if you’re going to be bad - be good at it

It’s because he’s captain of a club and has met with a rival coach during the season behind the clubs back. if he waited till the season was over to explore a move it would have been different imo

You can’t wait until end of season. Most of the deals you see are done essentially months in advance. Clubs are planning ahead and getting their books in order. You snooze you lose.

The only correct Answer is Harley Reid.

We need to up our WAG game. Bring her in for more cultural destruction.

I’m surprised more people aren’t into Rowell. He’s putting on a masterclass so far this season, you could make an argument he’s in the top 5 players. Him with Caldwell and Durham in the guts would be unstoppable.

People saying Mitchell sitting next to Reid at a wedding means there is a connection with the pair. What about all the family BBQs and parties at the Dursmaa family home. Harley and Xavier sitting their sinking a few pots together. If someone has been working on getting Reid to us I’m pretty sure Xavier is up to his neck in it hahaha. Mitchell has got nothing on that. Saying all that if Reid wants to leave at the end of this year and the price is too high I would rather we go to the draft than sell the farm for one player.

Clubs talk to the managers, not directly with the players. There are lots of talks going on now, once the manager and club have an offer then it goes to the player, later in the year.

WC should refuse to deal with Hawks over Reid out of principle.

First their full back and then their full forward and captain.

Hawks effectively targeting their 3 most important players whilst they are trying to rebuild.

Yep I believe you are right, it is just not done so out in the open.

Disrespecting Novak and his people at the AO lols

It’s not even about her and Chris Judd seperating. Classic clickbait.

I think he wants to stay but the club are low balling him due to his knees and the possibility of a top 3 draft pick, much like McKay and Kangaroos a top 3 pick will help them more.
And saints and Goddard, they preferred the pick as would help them more to get continued access to top end talent.

Thanks, no way I was going to read it.

The media are running with him receiving offers of 2M per season. Not sure how anyone could think there is a value issue here…

Yeah me lol
And obviously another poster before me.

Apart from Mitchell and his missus. I’m not sure why that is even legal - tapping up isn’t legal in any other sport around the world.
