Trade talk - from October 2024

It’ll become 6 and ours will become 10. We’d then definitely be ahead of a Kako bid.

You can recreate previous years’ trade experiences by putting on multiple jackets yourself, going to any store and refusing to pay the displayed price on an item. Preferably as close to closing time as possible.

We should always be wanting to win. Winning culture beats draft picks.

Now we just need to work out a way to get Kako and a first, I don’t actually think Kako will go ahead of us personally. He was rated 10-15 before he got injured and hasn’t played since then. Don’t know why he would go from that range to 5-8 after an injury.

Regardless, Essendons problems aren’t talent related in my opinion. They are cultural, we need to develop a winning culture first and foremost tanking for draft picks doesn’t do that

Giants holding tight to Derksen too.

■■■■ happens. Maybe Freo should have done a better job at stopping Merret so Durham wouldnt have that shot on goal instead of blaming us for winning

I think the biggest issue we have is top end talent.

Agree on winning culture. Freo win was also a highlight of the year. But I like the look of that Melbourne pick right now.

We made 23 list changes during the last 3 years according to Rosa

And more coming this year thats a lot

sounds promising might be picked up by us. will need some small defender depth.

And our list is still ■■■■. More plodders than a Clydesdale Farm.
Dodo did such a great job.

And more is coming. Farking dodo has left Rosa and Brad a big mess to clean up

I expect disco this year would have had a strategy to basically do nothing

Quite in opposition to Rosa’s, really wringing those changes.

Richmond most likely to offer 2 later firsts for pick 9. (once they have got their trades done)

Develop a winning culture with the right demographic.

Winning or trying to win games with Heppell, Kelly, Goldy, Stringer, Hind, Laverde, Shiel and Weideman is infuriating and gets us nowhere.

I want to see us winning games with Roberts, El Hawli, Bryan, Caddy, Tsatas, Hayes, Reid() and Hobbs.

2025 should look more like a rebuild year because the last 2 haven’t.

I expect GWS and Shiel to request a trade next week. Probably just happening in the background and wouldn’t surprise me if we want a 2nd rounder for Shiel and pay for his salary. This is all speculation, just my feel on the situation as GWS have publicly said there interested and privately so is Shiel.

Disagree on beveridge. He rambles. Needs to be more succinct.

Iv’e given up on Reid kid has played 8 AFL games in 4 years and all his injures have been long term ones where he misses chunks of a season

He’s Gumby 2.0

23 list changes in 3 years says a lot to me.
Glad we are settling a bit tbh.
I suspect next year is going to be huge for us I think and that’s why we are doing the minimum.
Let’s face it, Dodoro has only just left the club.
Rosa is dealing with the deadwood gradually.
Having no one wanting to go, even Stringer has made his first trade season an easy one to start with.
I’m sure in a years time we’ll be seeing a very different trade/draft period.

I’m weirdly more confident in him now.
