Giants now have 46. That might get the Stringer deal done

We could do a deal.

String + 31 for 37, 42, 53, 56.

It’s an extra c. 700 points for a Kako bid.

Fark, they can have Shiel for free.

Edit: 37, 42, 53, 56 is the equivalent of pick 12 which means we’d have the points to match Kako in all situations (with spare change to use in this draft most likely).

I never understand those stupid sends a f2 and revives a f2 deal it’s literally just peatling for 46

I’m taking norths first rounder next year every day of the week. Will be a top 5 pick. Plus we’re already bringing in a first rounder this year with some junk later picks. That means 3 first rounders in two years, two of which will likely be top 10 picks next year. I would try get them to throw in a late pick this year with it to help us with points though.

Na. GWS are betting on being better than Adelaide. Fair enough too.

id just try to get it down now and leverage another 2nd rounder somehow for bid matches. we get a first round pick in kako, maybe another 2nd round pick once points balance out this year. go again 1 more year, then launch into a rebuild the draft before doomsday tassie shows up

Paying F2 straight up for points would be huge overs.

Based on most conservative estimates we’re only talking having to find around 500 points (equivalent to pick 36) assuming we keep our current second rounder.

Again this would vary depending on what we might get in for Stringer but coughing up a valuable future pick would be excessive.

Will end up more like pick 10

Would be limited difference in the end tho just to make it look like they’ve actually come to an agreement that everyones happy with, which I guess they did

Gambling on North’s future is almost as fraught with danger as betting on ours, I’d be devo if they somehow made top 8 in and of itself imagine getting a ■■■■ pick too for our pick9 after that

Junk points just means excess picks that clubs likely either won’t use or are open to packaging up to get up the order.

Happens every year especially live on draft day.

As has been mentioned plenty of times we don’t need to hustle this far out just to cover points. There’s plenty of opportunity to improve our hand ever since they allowed pure pick swaps regardless of what happens this week.

Bring back 1 week of trade radio for the love of everything

Wtf are the saints doing?

This is potentially bad news for Kako.

Agree that gws will be better again next year but at most it’s probably like 10 picks difference or worst case Adelaide jump out and gws lose a hogan or Greene to injury and fall out the eight.
It could have just been a simple pearling for 46 and Adelaide future fourth

Anything they are doing to get 13 has little impact on their interest in Kako I would’ve thought.

If there’s to be any bid before our first pick we’ll be moving regardless of whether they hold 13 as well.

I’d say teams are positioning themselves to get their hands on West Coast pick 3 to land a player like Lalor.

Can someone explain what the ■■■■ we’re actually doing?

Trading out of a strong draft and into a weak one. It’s the Essendon way.
