We will be bottom 4 next year. Dees around that mark too.
If we keep those picks, this time next year could be nice.

Warner probably wouldnt want to go there without Reid.
Thereās also the option that freo being far closer to a flag might be where he ends up
I donāt think thatās the case.
We just replaced Phillips with a better ruckman, in Goldstein
I think that Brad Scott sees team selection and List management decisions as two completely different things.
He definitely sees the VFL as a legitimate development stage for young players. I would say itās a strong philosophy that his brother subscribes to also.
Difference is the quality of the VFL programs at each club. Hopefully we are seeing a correction on that front start to take shape.
I agree with that. I think they handled Tsatas perfectly. Caldwell and Durham were flourishing. Elijah we wanted to develop more his pure midfield game so they made him the main guy in the VFL. He grew a lot over the year and will be better prepared for seniors next year due to club letting him play key inside mid in VFL⦠instead of a wing or high forward role in seniors like Hobbs had been developed. Same with Hayes. They played Hayes on all types of forwards to get him better experiences with tall and mid size opponents. He needed to add that flexibility to his game if he was going to take a Laverde type role.
To me we improved on our strategy in properly developing players in their best positions to be ready for seniors
I know we were limited for options and Archie could fill a role but I wish they had allowed him a half season in the guts in the ressies too.
I feel his future could be in the middle but needs development time in the twos to work on his obvious deficiencies, however he is a bit of a victim of his versatility.
Two top 5 picks and a band 1 compo for Draper to make it 3.
Combine them with long range trading and it could see us maintain a strong position in the 1st round of the 2025 draft and get Harley.
Offer 3x 1sts ('25 top 5, '26 top 10, '27 1st rnd) as the core of our deal.
I think Elijah will need to continue to improve the outcome of his kicking by at least 30-40% during pre-season to join in with the seniors next year.
Francis was a cursed pick 6 wasnāt he?
Barring injuries, l will be surprised if Goldy plays any games next year.
They would fit well into our club
Not Richard Simmons do not want
He sounds like a disease you catch north of the Murray
Thank god no one from this board has any real say on list management. Some people would throw out half the list , which would asset us of another decade in nowheresville. Others want to trade 3 first round draft picks for Harley Reid I.e sacrifice the future for one guy. Didnāt work for Judd, didnāt work for Tim Kelly, in fact I canāt think of any multiple first round sacrifice apart from Cameron that delivered a Premiership.( and iirc Geelong had a lot of guns to support him, which we donāt). Now people want to get rid of Draper because he had an injury ridden season. This guy has X factor in spades and is at an age for ruckmen that would be entering their career best. And you want to replace him with Bryan who has only shown some potential in the last half dozen games.
The list management team has identified the players who were disruptive and those who arenāt going to take us to the next level. We have been excellent for two thirds of the season two years in a row and need to build on that.
We havenāt been excellentā¦ā¦weāve been ok
WC wonāt trade 2 firsts for Chad because they need to hit the draft, but theyāll be happy to shift their recent pick 1 future superstar for picks instead because⦠reasons?
I canāt fault it.
Krueger can play back too & plays it hard unlike Weed. Handy in the air. Think the Lions are into him
Good question!? Is he worth a look in the VFL?
Weāre not winning ā ā ā ā with that list unfortunately
In a year where Hawthorn were crying out for key backs at times, he was no where to be seen. Says a lot. Francis vibes for sure.
