That’s gunna cost us

I’m in for Stone. Yeah he might be a sick note, but when I’ve seen him play he has had a touch of class. Exactly the demographic and type of low-risk swing we should be taking.

He played half-back. Would be addressing a need.

Hopefully we got the jump on Richmond in getting him

To say I’m well and truly over Geelong is an absolute understatement.

■■■■ off already. Yes… tinged with some envy, probably, but just ■■■■ right off.

I have to say, trade period is well and truly cooked if a player like Jack Martin gets to declare where he wants to go, and it isn’t even questioned

He’s a delisted free agent.

Can go wherever he wants.

Ahh, OK, that makes more sense.

Yep, Geelong shopping in the dumpsters out back of Visy Park for something/someone to upcycle.

They opened a Cotton On catalogue and “found Bailey Smith”.

Clarry, yeah we won’t talk of where they found him.

Probably pays off too. They’re good like that.

Geelong don’t have that same core leadership group to hold everything together any more. I feel like this offseason could bite them in the ass.

Reckon we come away with Finn Maginness and Conor Stone this trade period

He even got delisted from the rehab room.

So Geelong won’t go to the draft with any decent picks if they have their way… Like the Pies, I reckon they’re basically going to keep picking up quality experienced players moving forward to fill holes and replace ageing stars. I don’t see the Cats chasing many top 20 picks in the draft in the foreseeable future. This is how it and to achieve sustained success. No rebuild there.

Then, there’s the Richmond bonfire taking place right now. I say that a bit in jest, but Richmond from afar aren’t going about sustained success in the optimal fashion. Now they’re eating their own.
