Knowing the right coffee shop to have breakfast is the key.

Pick 9, their F1 and a bottom 10 club’s F1 is the deal I’d accept. Do not want 2027 F1 which will be a pick in the 20s

2 firsts a second and Z Duursma would be good.

Then they find another club to flip them to and we take the assets or bring in Duursma from North as a 3 team trade.

My source linked to Hawthorn, who believes the trade was done last week, has said that Essendon will make it look Theyre haggling over this… to look tough.

But the deal will be announced in the final hour of trade week… for the afl ratings.

If the offer is legit, then we’re getting closer. No interest in Hustwait, or any player unless they’re exceptional - we don’t have the list space. I’d sit on it for 24 hours and see how it improves.

Fark i hope this backfires on Hawks. Arrogant shunts, supporters and club alike. They are carrying on like they have flag in the bag if they get Merrett. Im really torn, I want merret gone for value. But part of me wants to flick Hawks the bird and say birdie numb numb. Merrett might think hes had a win getting out, ide say when he grows up, he’ll see his memorabilia in the Aldi discount bin and ponder what might of been had his moral compass stayed true North.

Well if that’s the case, what’s the offer

It is likely we will need an extra ā€˜27 first to match Bewick.

Let’s hope your source is right.

Get out.

You still ask the question.

The former is on them, go to another club if need be.

The second, we shouldn’t have to pay anything extra for.

Well atleast we have a baseline.

With 30 hours before deadline it’s a reasonable place to start in my mind.

Essendon I imagine will flatly reject the offer and maintain he is not being traded with no counter offer.

I’d anticipate the second offer, if it comes, will be closer to their final offer. Will be interesting to see what it is. Based on today, my money is on a really decent offer and he is traded.

You would say no to 3-4 first round picks this year.

2 next year. Which we could use for getting the likes of Bailey, Butters, King.

And 2 in 2027 at our disposal.

They need to work on McKenzie more. Players don’t understand that this years basket case is often next years finalist. Clubs can go up and down very quckly. If Hawthorn fail in their quest for a flag then they might just fall off that cliff they are looking at. McKenzie being young will be there for the next Bombers flag ( I am a half full guy)

I’d rather HH than Lewis, and we need that type more.

He sucks dude. Will be delisted next year.

3 first rounds is lunacy. 2 firsts is overs (and don’t get me wrong we deserve overs given we don’t want to sell and he is contracted for 2 years).

We are not getting 3 firsts for a 30 yo Zach.

If we walk away with 3 firsts (without giving back 2nd’s/etc), I’ll grovel at the feet of Welshy and Rosa. I’ll never say a bad word about them again.

Make it happen thanks.
