Not at all David King thinks them not landing Zac has a massive dint in their flag push and I agree

They lost Worple too. They better hope Gunston has another great year and Lewis is injury free. Their midfield, which is their weakness, just got weaker.

Whatever option gets us the holy trinity.

Robey/Cumming/Dovatson.

The three young warriors scripted by fate to take us back to the land of promise.

Pick 7 in the 2026 draft is likely to also be pick 4 or 5 after bids. Ditto pick 25.

A more realistic option would be:

The Hawks offer: Pick 10 (15 after bids), Pick 22 (who knows after bids!) and 2026 pick 20

Or

2026 pick 18 and 36

Though I don’t think we would get more than a first for Merrett next year

We countered with a deal. Add f1 2027 and subtract Hustwaite.

Tells you how much they value Hustwaite and getting a deal done. Because that is not a significant ask.

I’m pretty sure they could have taken 22 off the table and maybe even 10 this year.

Yep. All they had to do was give our first request and that’s it. Didn’t need to go back and forth we would have happily have traded him, but on our terms

They lost Merret over a 2027 first which in a compromised Tassie draft is worth stuff all

Idiots

And what’s this bullshit of you have until 7pm because we have other plans for pick 9. Then all they did with pick 9 was split it to pick 10 and 22 which they were going to give to us anyway.
