Training 19th June

I heard it was Mutch.

EDIT: waaaaaay too slow.

I heard he twisted it on some bone fragment left on the field last week.

Well… I guess it makes us our on ball brigade quicker :man_shrugging:

… Looking for positives

We might have to play Parish as an inside mid.

(Joking: he can replace Heppell on the HFF.)

This needs updating as it’s a tired cliche.
Against Sydney we repeatedly kicked to the LEFT back flank.
Must be Pops Kelly’s innovation.

Anyone else getting a sense of ‘Sampson and Delilah’ in all this?

It’s uncanny isn’t it. I’m taken back to my post in the training thread last week about being worried by too much good news

actually no idea what that means…

Translation: Heppell cuts his hair off and loses his strength

Delilah , also spelled Dalila, in the Old Testament, the central figure of Samson’s last love story (Judges 16). She was a Philistine who, bribed to entrap Samson , coaxed him into revealing that the secret of his strength was his long hair, whereupon she took advantage of his confidence to betray him to his enemies.

Remember who was cutting his hair during the Covid break?

I paid close attention to Joe today. The buoyant mood he displayed last time I saw him was replaced today with a sense of grim determination. He was in constant consultation with his fitness advisor and appeared meticulous in timing his running which was at about three quarter pace, followed by some jogging and walking in between.

The bouts of running were also broken up by some kicking - field and goal - generally of a short to mid range. I thought his kicking action looked a bit stiff but he seemed to complete it without suffering any ill effects.

It appears to me that Joe is carefully following a very specific recovery programme with diligence and is making short improvements rather than big strides.

My guess is that he is still many weeks away from returning but of course I don’t really know.

What ever happened to Mutch??

somebody claiming intel has obviously told him as much. he wouldn’t have just made it up. the question is whether his source has any credibility.

The new @nackers.

Thanks @CJohns
