Sorry this is from good friend who went today… goes to every session.
Much bigger group today -around 35 or so
Wanganeen out of his boot now. He told
My friend he will start training/ running heavier in Jan.
Stringer, McKay, Goldstein, Cox and Wright on very light training.
Jayden Davey still just running and light drills only.
Intensity was very high to my friends surprise. Noting November is normally a little more getting back into things. He said the speed was pretty much game day pace… that seems to be an instruction and standard no matter how far out the season starts.
Harrison Jones had the intensity required which was pleasing. Did a crunch tackle on Reid which is scary but everyone ended up ok.
Pleased with how good the younger mids are looking. Tsatas body shape a huge improvement - should be quite explosive. Caldwell a lot stronger in the shoulders now and Perkins has a more power running frame(than muscle ball frame). Looks like they want to identify each players strengths and build best bodies to perform to them.
Reid’s kicking a stand out. Fantastic skills for 205cm player.
That’s a standard which should never be compromised.
You should always be training at Match day intensity, otherwise it’s just wasting f*cking time. Nobody is improving if it’s not at match day intensity.
