Big thanks @CJohns and @nackers for your excellent as usual reports. So much to look forward to in 2022.
thanks for all the training reports. Great to hear about guys like Perkins, Smith and Shiel looking great.
Great to hear Hurley was out there as well
Tippa looksā¦not very good
I hope you Ambrosed him at least once.
Great report @nackersā¦I think you trade mark the N with the green background!!! Blitz will lose it if you change your avatar!!
Iām happy Wallaās back out there, being supported by the rest of the team, etc⦠but heāll be 29 in April and typically most senior players around that age tend to lean up to help extend their careers (Hooker, Hawkins, Lewis, etc), not go the other way.
Heās just such a special player and person, it would truly be a shame for him not to have a long career into his mid 30ās given his natural ability, late start to his career, luck with injuries so far, etc.
Go well, Walla.
Also the drills were all very purposeful 3 on 4s practicing using this advantage. And then during match sim it was defence transitioning the ball forward with a number advantage into outnumbered forward line. Great to see the full oval being used with lots of width with wings/forward flankers working hard wide often unrewarded to create space down the middle.
I was really impressed and am thinking that everyone on the list will be thinking they are ready for an opportunity on the the big stage. Match selection is going to be super tough this year.
Love hearing that, thanks mate!
Leave Walla alone guys, heās having a really tough time, just needs support, not bullshit from ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā on the internet.
Cafe at night? Is that the equivalent of asking the new apprentice to run to Bunnings and get a left handed hammer?
agree with this sentiment. we all know the afl communication vultures will descend at some point thoughā¦
I donāt think thereās any bullying towards Walla. More concern, worry and care.
Twitter could be another beast. The guy has really felt the pressure from fans in the past.
Yes. Iād like to think everyone here has his best interests at heart & wish only the best for him.
NKOTB ?
This has been a problem of his from the moment he played his first senior game.
No doubt as a junior heās had the skills and the smarts to out-twist and out-turn his opponents and take his time to find the best attacking option.
Players donāt have that luxury at senior level. It has to be take the first option and execute it properly.
Itās Archieās second year. I have confidence in him and in the coaches. Heāll get it right. It wonāt happen overnight, but it will happen. (I think Abraham Lincoln said that.)

Havenāt seen Langfords name mentioned a lot this pre season, how does he look?
With his eyes.

I donāt think thereās any bullying towards Walla. More concern, worry and care.

Indeed, letās not forget heās also copped racism on there too, and we arenāt overly endowed with people to lean on who can understand what heās going through in that regard and the isolation of it all.
Did the club just leave him to it through the off season? After making him do 6 weeks of mini-training program and working on his mental health, did they then just not follow up?
Why didnāt they have welfare people keeping in touch?
Very sad situation. My favourite player and only current player who gets me off my seat.
You got our support Wallaā¦
Is there any specifics on whats happening with Cox? Is it ankle? Knee? Unicorn horn?
