Training 29th Nov

Good news at the end - Fejo to join training in a few weeks!

I’m hearing he might not be 28 but possibly 33!?
He looks it!?
Any truth?

Fejo is an exciting prospect. Skills to burn.

Would love another smaller forward try out for the second position too.

We’ll leave the second spot open for the mid-season draft, almost certainly.

Reminds me of Lovett with the way he makes kicking a ball cleanly at full pace look so effortless.

@Soulnet has created a new thread for his photos - they are fab.

Are you sure? I’m pretty sure we didn’t do that last year. But injuries opened up spots for that. Fair chance that will happen again

Well, last year we went into the season knowing there were two blokes likely to be on the LTI list for a while - Hurls and Mozzie - so we had extra space to start with. Touch wood we won’t be in that position this year.

In psychology at least it is very well studied (over 16,000 hits on PubMed).
It’s also what the Dawks used prior to their 3 peat iirc.

Unless we find one? I mean if there’s someone you actually rate then surely you just bring them on.

I understand conceptually, and mostly just wanted to be a smrtrse, but also I’m interested in understanding on how strengths based development would work in this sort of environment. In a team sports environment where opposition are trying to exploit your weakness a strengths based approach which doesn’t also address weaknesses (in a positive way) will perhaps limit both individual and team outcomes.

I mean would we say ā€œGleeson is a bit thin, but he’s a good overhead mark, so let’s develop his marking moreā€. I’m therefore keen to understand how it translates and what the research says, before I’m prepared to cut Woosha some slack!

They were mostly questions than assumptions.

So are you saying the current coaches are mistaken here?

Agreed He’s in poor shape but he’s got stuff going on at the moment thats impacting that.

If I can lose 8 kgs in 6 weeks by running every second day and cutting out some bad foods (I just did), then theres absolutely no reason why Tippa cant be back in shape and in full training come mid Jan with the ammount of work they put in.

Far out… He is massive. Thats actually pretty distressing footage to me. hes been one of the absolute best things to come out of the last 20 years from this club and i hope we get to see him play for many more years. He inspires so many around the country. Hes the kind of player that deserves to be chaired off at the G after a decorated career. I would truly hate to see him just fade away. Glad to hear the boys are getting around him and trying to help him get back in shape.

Not true i was defending Shiel and Smith when everyone else on here gave it

It’s not the body shape of tippa that worries me he doesn’t have that happy look on his face.
