Good to hear that Dalgliesh is showing some promise. I like of what little I’ve seen of him and
I believe that if he continues to improve could become a dangerous player for us.
By the way, did he spoil Daniher’s mark at the
highest point?
Keep up the good work Jackie.
Perhaps I should have explained he managed to get an arm in and spoil a chest mark like Fletcher does - bêtter than jumping and punching it away from outstretched hands.
…was great to see Watson & Daniher in the cafe
…Carlisle is angry. Cocky, aggressive, marking well, kicking well, and looking strong
…I think I can kick better at goal than Hepps - and I’m not a great kick…
…It wasn’t so much Kav that Hirdy gave a spray to, but to the defensive group who left a hole down back
…Felt for Pears who jogged around, and kicked a few balls. Hope the game hasn’t passed him by
…Daniher’s kicking has improved out of sight
…Bags doesn’t effin miss. He was with the forward group again at the end…he must be swinging forward at some stage
…
Training in mild overcast conditions on the McCracken Oval.
Highlight of the day though was to see grandpa Tim Watson and Terry Daniher in the Sheedy Cafe before training. Brought back the best of the eighties straight away.
Terry Daniher in a cafe. What has the world come to?
Lol. Anyone think Hird learned more than a bit of his coaching skillz from Sheeds?
“Wow, everyone, we found one of the best gritty back pocket stoppers in the competition with a rookie pick from a state league. WE MUST TURN HIM INTO A FORWARD RIGHT AWAY!!1!ONE!”

I’m hoping for a few Licka-esque moments where he suddenly appears out of nowhere, takes a mark in the forward 50 and kicks a goal then heads back to defence.
